Corn or Tortilla Flour?
Taquitos are traditionally made with corn tortillas but honestly, corn tortillas and flour can work. Use small tortillas (6 ″ or less) to make this recipe.

Corn tortillas and flour have very different textures and flavors.

Corn has a clear savory corn flavor and texture that is slightly more springy. They can be a little more difficult to work on, but heating them a little will help keep them from cracking.
Tortilla flour will make mosquitoes a little softer and make the taste of the contents and sauce really stand out.
